Manav Sewa Trust Sponsors Education of 12 Needy Students at GVM Sr. Secondary School, Sonipat
Sonipat, August 1, 2026:
Manav Sewa Trust (Regd.), Sonipat, in association with GVM Sr. Secondary School, Geeta Bhawan, organised an Education Support Drive with the noble objective of ensuring quality education for underprivileged children. The event reflected the Trust’s commitment to its motto, “Service to Humanity is Service to God.”
On this occasion, 12 deserving students studying from Class IV to Class IX at GVM Sr. Secondary School were adopted under the Trust’s Education Support Programme. The entire annual school fees of these students have been sponsored by Manav Sewa Trust. These children belong to financially weaker families, with some having lost their father and others their mother. Through this initiative, the Trust has pledged to continue supporting their education in the years ahead.
The initiative was made possible through the generous contributions of Mrs. Shalini Sapra, Mr. Roshan Sapra, Manav Sewa Trust President Mr. Sumeet Alakh, Mr. Naresh Nassa, Mr. Gaurav Thakur, Rakesh Malhotra and several other members of the Trust who came forward wholeheartedly to support this noble cause.
As a mark of gratitude and remembrance, a Golden Plaque commemorating the Education Support Initiative was unveiled and installed in the school premises near the Activity Hall, symbolising the Trust’s long-term commitment towards empowering young minds.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sumeet Alakh, President, Manav Sewa Trust, emphasized that education is the most powerful tool to transform lives and appealed to society to come forward in supporting children who dream of a brighter future despite difficult circumstances.
Other dignitaries who shared their inspiring thoughts included Shri Sumeet Alakh, Shri Rakesh Sharma, Mrs. Shakuntla Ghakar, Shri Mahendra Pal Vashisht, and Dr. Kavita (Principal -GVM School ), Geeta Doda ( Vice Principal – GVM School )who appreciated the collaborative efforts of the Trust and the school in providing meaningful educational support to deserving students.
The programme was attended by members of Manav Sewa Trust, school authorities, donors, and prominent citizens of Sonipat. Distinguished attendees included Shri Bhupesh Chandna, Shri Rakesh Malhotra, Mr. Vijay Malik, Sonipat, Shri Pawan Sharma, Shri Ranjan Sehgal, Mrs. geeta Doda, Shri Jawahar, along with many other respected members of the community.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the shared commitment of Manav Sewa Trust and GVM Sr. Secondary School to ensure that no deserving child is deprived of education due to financial constraints. The Trust also invited more individuals and organisations to join this mission of building a brighter and more educated future for society.
